Admissions
Roding Primary School is maintained by the London Borough of Redbridge and is governed by the Redbridge admissions policy. For 2021-22 Admissions, more details and the portal for applications can be found here.
Roding is a two-form entry school. We have a morning and an afternoon Nursery with 30 places. From Reception to Year 6 we take 60 pupils in each year group.
In the term before children join the school, parents/carers are invited to visit in order to meet the Headteacher and support staff so that they may learn more about what Roding has to offer.
More information about Redbridge's Primary Admissions application process can be found here.
Children leave Roding at the end of Year 6 and most go to one of the following secondary schools: West Hatch (Essex school), Woodbridge or Caterham (Redbridge school).
Parents may opt to enter their child into the London Borough of Redbridge selection process for Grammar School. The 11+ test is taken during the autumn term of Year 6. Please refer to the Redbridge website for further information.
Visiting the school
Once your child has been offered a place at Roding we will invite you in for a tour of the school. We have prepared a video for prospective parents which can be found on our website home page.
Nursery/Reception Admissions
We currently have no places available in our morning nursery and a waiting list is in operation. We have small number of places available in our afternoon nursery. If your child is aged 3 or older they can join our Nursery; pick up a form from Reception to request a place or access it here.
If your child’s date of birth is between 1/9/2017 and 31/8/2018 then your child will be starting Reception in September 2022. You will need to apply for a school place through the Redbridge website. Being at the Nursery does not mean that you will automatically get a school place and ALL children must apply via the Redbridge website. The deadline for applications is 15th January 2022 at 11.59pm.
